The stolen data, he said, came from a third-party supplier, not Renault&#8217;s systems. &#8220;None of our own systems have been compromised,&#8221; Wood insisted.<\/p>\n<p>According to posts on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/CyberCrime\/comments\/1nwcidr\/renault_uk_customers_have_data_stolen_in_cyber\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">online forums<\/a>, customers of Renault&#8217;s sister brand Dacia have also received similar warnings.<\/p>\n<p>Renault did not confirm how many customers are affected and has not answered questions from <em>The Register<\/em> about the scale of the digital break-in or the identity of the breached supplier.
