However, anti-ransomware outfit Halcyon, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.halcyon.ai\/ransomware-research-reports\/security-alert-cl0p-abuses-oracle-e-business-suite-for-account-takeover\" rel=\"nofollow\">which has also been keeping an eye on the goings-on at Oracle<\/a>, says it&#8217;s &#8220;highly likely&#8221; that Clop ransomware operators are actively extorting victims through the local login pages on internet-facing Oracle EBS portals.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After compromising user email, attackers abuse the default password-reset function to gain valid credentials,&#8221; Halcyon said. &#8220;Local accounts bypass enterprise SSO controls and often lack MFA, leaving thousands of organizations exposed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Attackers are waving around screenshots and file trees as proof of their handiwork, according to Halcyon, while slapping price tags as high as $50 million on their demands. Big Red has still not responded to <em>The Register&#8217;s<\/em> questions.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the company leaned on a boilerplate about its &#8220;strong recommendation&#8221; to keep up with
