The Pixel 10 seems like the perfect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/best-android-phone\/\">Android phone<\/a> to switch to. Here are three features that have sold this iPhone user on the Pixel 10.<\/p>\n<h2>1. This means, theoretically, I can use my new <span class=\"c-commerceLink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Baseus-Smallest-Magnetic-Certified-Ultra-Mini\/dp\/B0F59YPK7V?tag=zdnet-buy-button-20\" rel=\"noopener nofollow sponsored\" target=\"_blank\" data-aps-asin=\"B0F59YPK7V\" data-aps-asc-tag=\"zd-buy-button-20\" data-aps-asc-subtag=\"__COM_CLICK_ID__|null|dtp\"><span>Baseus PicoGo 5,000mAh power bank<\/span><!----><\/a><\/span>, <span class=\"c-commerceLink\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/ShiftCam-SnapStand-Max-Extendable-Bluetooth\/dp\/B0DMZWDTDW\/?tag=zdnet-buy-button-20\" rel=\"noopener nofollow sponsored\" target=\"_blank\" data-aps-asin=\"B0DMZWDTDW\" data-aps-asc-tag=\"zd-buy-button-20\" data-aps-asc-subtag=\"__COM_CLICK_ID__|null|dtp\"><span>Shiftcam SnapStand Max<\/span><!----><\/a><\/span>, and more without any issues.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These are some of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/my-5-favorite-gadgets-for-students-are-all-under-40-and-why-theyre-so-useful\/\">travel essentials<\/a>, and I won&#8217;t need to purchase separate on-the-go accessories just because I got a new phone. The addition of PixelSnap is my favorite upgrade on the new Pixels.<\/p>\n<h2>2. While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/how-to-use-visual-intelligence-on-an-iphone-16-to-identify-unknown-objects\/\">Visual Intelligence<\/a> is useful, I prefer Samsung&#8217;s Galaxy AI suite of features on my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/i-spent-a-week-in-new-york-city-with-the-samsung-z-fold-7-and-it-spoiled-me-the-entire-time\/\">Galaxy Z Fold 7<\/a>. Moreover, I&#8217;ve been using Gemini Live more than expected and way more than I have ever used Siri on my iPhone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While Siri can&#8217;t get reminders right or call my contacts in one go, Gemini Live has helped me organize my room and solve daily life problems. It is now getting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/google-just-gave-the-gemini-live-app-its-biggest-update-yet-android-and-ios-versions-included\/\">support for more Google apps<\/a> like Keep and Maps. So, I can add my thoughts to Google Keep without needing to touch my phone. Since I use Google apps in my workflow, Gemini makes things easier and more intuitive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/pixelsnap-is-the-magsafe-for-android-phones-weve-been-waiting-for-heres-our-first-look\/\">PixelSnap is the MagSafe for Android phones we&#8217;ve been waiting for &#8211; here&#8217;s our first look<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While I can access Gemini on my iPhone without any issues, Google&#8217;s new Pixel-exclusive AI features make a strong case for switching. I&#8217;m looking forward to experiencing the new Magic Cue &#8212; which is supposed to deliver more personalized and contextual AI &#8212; and Camera Coach, which is touted to help compose shots better.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>3. Telephoto camera on the base model<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"c-shortcodeImage u-clearfix c-shortcodeImage-large\">\n<div class=\"c-shortcodeImage_imageContainer\">\n<div class=\"c-shortcodeImage_image\"><picture class=\"c-cmsImage\"><!----> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/why-the-pixel-10-is-making-this-longtime-iphone-user-reconsider-their-next-phone\/\" alt=\"EMBARGO - Google Pixel 10 Pro Camera Coach AI\" width=\"1280\" height=\"719.3798449612403\" fetchpriority=\"low\"><\/picture><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div><figcaption> <span class=\"c-shortcodeImage_credit g-outer-spacing-top-xsmall u-block\">Kerry Wan\/ZDNET<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The base iPhone 16 doesn&#8217;t have a telephoto camera, whereas the iPhone 16 Pro sports a comparatively small 5x periscope sensor. I&#8217;ve used the latter, and it struggles in low light. To compare, the Google Pixel 10 Pro features a larger sensor with 5x optical zoom, and the base Pixel 10 also gets an additional zoom lens with the same optical zoom.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not expecting exceptional zoom quality from the Pixel 10&#8217;s telephoto camera because it is a smaller sensor. However, it should be better than the iPhone 16&#8217;s 5x digital zoom. I like shooting architecture photos, and having 5x optical zoom on a $799 phone is a welcome addition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/why-i-recommend-this-400-google-pixel-over-competing-models-from-samsung-and-oneplus\/\">Why I recommend this $400 Google Pixel over competing models from Samsung and OnePlus<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apart from these three features, I&#8217;m also looking forward to going back to the Pixel for all the Google extras. From fun features like Add Me and Best Take to useful Circle to Search and Magic Eraser, all of them add to the Google Pixel experience. While I&#8217;m not a fan of comparatively thicker bezels, the Pixel 10&#8217;s brighter and stronger display is another nice-to-have addition that should make the experience better.<\/p>\n<p>READ
