We will update this story when we receive a response from the chip designer.<\/p>\n<p>If this turns out to be true, and we strongly caution against taking criminals at their word, it will be the second breach of AMD&#8217;s sensitive internal documents in three months. IntelBroker is reportedly behind both, with an apparent assist this time around by a newbie.<\/p>\n<p>Back in June, the American semiconductor manufacturer <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/06\/18\/amd_intelbroker_breachforums\/\" rel=\"noopener\">copped<\/a> to a compromise, telling <em>The Register<\/em>: &#8220;We are aware of a cybercriminal organization claiming to be in possession of stolen AMD data. Over the past months, the group has claimed several high-profile intrusions and data sales, including <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/05\/13\/europol_data_breach\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Europol<\/a>, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/04\/04\/feds_data_dump\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Pentagon<\/a>, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MonThreat\/status\/1828060652734239163\">Korea&#8217;s Ministry Of Defense<\/a>, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/05\/15\/us_army_contractor_data_loss\/\" rel=\"noopener\">US Army<\/a>, and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/04\/08\/home_depot_data_theft\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Depot<\/a>, all of which have put a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2024\/05\/23\/mandiant_cto_scattered_spider\/\" rel=\"noopener\">very large target<\/a> on the cybercriminals&#8217; backs with international cops all gunning for
