Kershaw is the current chair of FELEG.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCriminals have weaponized technology and have become ruthlessly efficient at finding victims,\u201d Kerhsaw told the group, before adding : \u201cState actors and citizens from some nations are using our countries at the expense of our sovereignty and economies.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"pullquote\" readability=\"5\">\n<p>Innovators and tech pioneers are the future of law enforcement<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The commissioner suggested that un-named nations know that their lack of financial regulations enable organized crime to launder money. He cited <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.com\/2021\/06\/08\/operation_ironside_anom\/\" rel=\"noopener\">operation Ironside<\/a>, the joint AFP\/FBI effort to create a backdoored chat app promoted to criminals as super-secure, as the kind of required to combat crime.<\/p>\n<p>While we will always need the muscle to kick down the door, our brains\u2019 trust \u2013 like our innovators and our tech pioneers \u2013 are among the future of law enforcement.<\/p>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"adun\" data-pos=\"top\" data-raptor=\"falcon\" world,\u201d Kershaw said. \u201cBy working in ways in which we have not done so before, it allows us to think globally and deliver a global blow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd let\u2019s not discount the
