Ministry of Transport and Communications and has enacted it \u201cwhile expressing grave concerns regarding breach of human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"adun\" data-pos=\"top\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posted<\/a> a notice from Myanmar\u2019s Ministry of Transport and Communications that imposed a ban until February 7th.<\/p>\n<p>Using optical character recognition and online translation tools, <i>The Register<\/i> surmises that the order says the ban is needed to stop the spread of fake news.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adun\" data-pos=\"mid\" data-raptor=\"eagle\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Myanmar?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Myanmar<\/a> as operators comply with an apparent blocking order.\n<\/p>\n<p>Data show variations by provider, with detect and delete content urging violence.<\/p>\n<p>The Social Network\u2122 is very widely used in Myanmar so the ban will stop the spread of all news and make it hard for citizens to communicate.<\/p>\n<p>Locals may already be routing around the block: the trending domains report on Cloudflare\u2019s internet radar also shows surging traffic to TikTok and the VK.com messaging
