Its evolution and demand are being driven by the needs of digital business transformation due to the adoption of SaaS and other cloud-based services accessed by increasingly distributed and mobile workforces, and to the adoption of edge computing,\u201d Gartner stated.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2013, CloudGenix\u2019s flagship offering, AppFabric, lets customers set and manage application policies for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkworld.com\/article\/3248989\/what-is-a-wan-wide-area-network-definition-and-examples.html\">WAN<\/a> environments. Cloud-based AppFabric includes what the company calls Autonomous SD-WAN which \u201cautomatically builds the secure network and takes corrective actions when performance or availability issues are encountered.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"nativo-promo nativo-promo-1 smartphone\" id><\/aside>\n<p>The idea is to extend the breadth of the Prisma Access SASE platform, address network and security transformation requirements, and accelerate the shift from SD-WAN to SASE, Palo Alto stated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<aside id=\"fsb-3065\" class=\"fakesidebar fakesidebar-auto fakesidebar-sponsored\">\n<aside class=\"nativo-promo\">\n<div class=\"excerpt-img bugblog ntv-preview-img-wrapper\" id=\"ntvImageBox\"><img alt=\"ITAAS and Corporate Storage Strategy\" title=\"ITAAS and Corporate Storage Strategy\" data-original=\" https:\/\/images.idgesg.net\/images\/article\/2019\/09\/hpe_nww_post3-100811447-medium.3x2.jpg\" class=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"excerpt-text\">\n<p class=\"post-meta\"><span class=\"sponsored-blog\">BrandPost<\/span> <span class=\"post-byline\">Sponsored by HPE<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"crawl-headline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkworld.com\/blog\/itaas-and-the-corporate-storage-technology\/?utm_source=IDG&amp;utm_medium=promotions&amp;utm_campaign=HPE22140&amp;utm_content=sidebar\" title=\"ITAAS and Corporate Storage Strategy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ITAAS and Corporate Storage Strategy<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"crawl-summary\">Pay-per-use IT models, such as ITaaS, could be the next chapter in IT infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cPalo Alto had some lightweight SD-WAN offerings, and this move significantly adds to it because CloudGenix technology is strong,\u201d said Lee Doyle, principal analyst at Doyle Research. \u201cIt\u2019s the logical intersection between security and SD-WAN and significantly moves along Palo Alto\u2019s move toward SASE.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"nativo-promo nativo-promo-1 tablet desktop\" id><\/aside>\n<p>The Palo Alto\/CloudGenix combination will also go against some big SD-WAN players such as Cisco and VMware.<\/p>\n<p>With the CloudGenix buy, Palo Alto has made well over $1.4 billion worth of acquisitions in the past year or so, grabbing up security firms, Demisto, Twistlock and PureSec in 2019 alone. CloudGenix has roughly 250 customers, including companies in healthcare, finance, retail, and manufacturing, the company stated.<\/p>\n<div class=\"end-note\">\n<div id class=\"blx blxParticleendnote
